Ulyana, a warm surfer from the very cold north of the world.
It was only 25 years after being born in a little village beyond the Siberian border that Ulyana Tihonova made her way to the ocean.
It had been a cold quarter of century, very close to the sky, dropping thousands of meter high slopes and carving never-ending curves on the Siberian mountains, but always dreaming of the day she would change all those billions of icy particles for one very big particle of water.
That day came last week. We picked Uly from the train station and took her to the Ocean.
It was a long great dive. She is an aquática natural.
